EDGAR COUNTY BRED CLASS - TOP 5 WINNERS

ANNOUNCED THE DAY OF THE SHOW & WINNERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE

FOR GRAND & RESERVE CHAMPION

 

1.     There will be no substitution of one breed of livestock for another.

 

2.     There must be at least 2 different exhibitors showing in each class (non-family members).  There must be at least 2 different exhibitors showing in each breed (non-family members).  If these conditions are not met the class and/or breed will be dropped the following year.

 

3.     All beef cattle will be judged Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

 

4.     Heifer show will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. with Steer show to start at conclusion of Heifer show.

 

5.     Weigh in, registration and health paper check in upon arrival with Superintendent, Sunday, July 21, 2013, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

 

6.     All entries must be in place by 9:00 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013.  No exceptions.

 

7.     Entry fee is $10.00             Stall fee is $20.00

 

8.     All animals must have been born between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012.

 

9.     Purebred Heifers will show by age.

 

10.    Steers will be shown by weight.

 

11.     Pair classes must have shown in individual classes.

 

12.    No exhibitor fee, no refunds.

 

13.    No more than 2 premiums will be paid to any one exhibitor under any single premium number.

 

14.    All beef cattle must comply with all health regulations for exhbition of beef cattle.

 

15.    Health papers must be presented to the Superintendent before livestock is unloaded.  Papers will be returned to the exhibitor upon leaving the fairgrounds.

No premium checks will be issued before 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013.  The management reserves the right to withhold premiums for ten days after the fair.  Any checks not picked up will be mailed.

 

ANY PREMIUM CHECKS NOT CASHED WITHIN 90 DAYS WILL BE VOID.

 

PREMIUM WAIVER STATEMENT

THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE SHALL USE ITS BEST EFFORTS TO SECURE SUFFICIENT APPROPRIATIONS TO FUND PREMIUMS.  IN ANY YEAR FOR WHICH THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS FAILS TO MAKE AN APPROPRIATION SUFFICIENT TO PAY SUCH PREMIUMS, PREMIUM AMOUNTS MAY NOT BE ACCURATELY REFLECTED IN THE PREMIUM BOOK.
